Biography: Dr. Dilipkumar Subbarao has been a doctor for over thiry years. His desire to help heal people began at the age of five, and his desire to be a personable doctor is still a daily motivator for him. He strives to makes his patients feel welcome and comfortable. He believes that to be a successful doctor, it is his job to consider the long-term well being of his patients, and to help them "understand how to take care of their health."
Dr. Dilipkumar Subbarao is a certified American Board of Internal Medicine Physician. He recieved his medical degree from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, in Indore, India. He completed his internship at Resurrection Medical Center Program, and his residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center Program, in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Subbarao is commited to patient-centric primary care, with broad experience in Board governance, quality improvement, and clinical operations; he had actively managed a panel of over 2,000 patients, and had served as Chair of Quality for the Department of Medicine at Reliant Medical Group in Worcester, MA. He has extensive experience using the Epic Ambulatory EHR, participating in shared medical appointments (Group Visits) for chronic disease management, as well as having experience working in a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). He is dedicated to teaching and mentoring new physicians, and being involved in the community; he has served as a culture language teacher being fluent in English, Hindi and Kannada.
Personal: Family is incredibly important to Dr. Subbarao. His personal intrests include reading, traveling, and being involved with theatre.
